It was a rainy evening in 1994 when our founder, Dr. Raghuram, a young and ambitious paediatrician, opened the doors to his modest clinic in a small town. Armed with a degree, a passion for healing, and a deep sense of purpose, he had one goal in mind: to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone in his community, regardless of their background or financial status.
His clinic, located on a busy street, was equipped with basic medical equipment and a few shelves filled with medical books. People appreciated the genuine care he provided, the personalized attention, and the trust he built with every patient.
In the early years, it was Dr. Raghuram’s unwavering dedication to his patients that set him apart. He would often go the extra mile, spending hours with a patient when needed, and treating the sick in the most compassionate way. Over the next few years, we expanded our services, adding medical professionals from other specialities.
By 2000, the clinic had grown further, with more space, additional staff, and a steady flow of patients from nearby villages and towns. The healthcare system in the surrounding areas outside Guntur was often inadequate, with many people having to travel long distances to get medical attention. We saw this as an opportunity to truly make a difference. We started offering a wider range of services, from diagnostics to surgical procedures, with a focus on preventive care.
In 2005, the hospital now had a dedicated emergency department, an advanced diagnostic lab, and a pharmacy. The hospital’s expansion allowed it to accommodate a larger patient base and cater to more specialized treatments.
By 2018, the hospital had become the go-to medical facility for paediatrics in the region and we had ventured into comprehensive paediatric care.
In the next decade, from 2015 to 2025, Raghuram Hospitals entered a phase of multi-speciality services. With a growing number of patients, our hospital expanded its facilities to include multiple specialties: cardiology, adult medicine, neonatology, ophthalmology and anaesthesiology, among others. Raghuram Hospitals became the best multi-speciality hospital and healthcare institution, attracting patients from all over Guntur and other parts of the state.
